I’m Sunil Kumar, an MCA graduate of 2004 with over 10 years of experience in software development and another 10 years as an entrepreneur.
When I turned 40, I made a decision that many considered unwise — I left my stable job to follow my true passion. Before pursuing my MCA, I had always been interested in teaching and guiding students. So, I started a coaching center to train students in computer subjects and guide them with their projects.
The initial days were tough — we faced several challenges, but through them, I realized something powerful: I had the ability to build and run a software firm that could serve local businesses. The biggest hurdle was manpower, so I began offering internships and final-year projects to students. This not only filled the skill gap but also built a team of passionate young professionals. Slowly, clients started coming in, one after another — and today, our journey has crossed 100+ happy clients.
After five successful years, the COVID-19 lockdown tested us again. Work came to a halt, and uncertainty loomed. But instead of giving up, we pivoted — moved our operations online, launched virtual internships and training programs, and turned the crisis into an opportunity. Within just two years, we trained over 5,000 students across Karnataka, many of whom are now working around the world and still stay connected with us for guidance and collaboration.
Over the years, I have kept experimenting — upgrading technologies, refining processes, and improving how we support both clients and students.
Today, when I look back, I smile — not because of the revenue or numbers, but because I proved that no idea is too small when your intent is big enough.
From a core developer to an entrepreneur, the journey has been full of challenges, learning, and growth. What kept me going was my dedication, passion, and belief that you just need the courage to sweep away fear and start. 🌾
